Zoompass Mobile App for iPhone is here!

Lots of people have been asking us for an iPhone app – well, the good news is that it’s here! We’re really excited to announce that the new Zoompass Mobile App for iPhone is now available to download for free on the Apple App Store.

Like all mobile phone users, iPhone users have always been able to use the browser on their phone to access their Zoompass account. But now you can use a dedicated application to access your Zoompass account through your iPhone anytime, anywhere. Instantly send and receive money, request money, check your account balance, track transactions, and more! The Zoompass app for iPhone has a nifty contact manager to help you sync your Zoompass account with the contacts already in your iPhone so you can Zoom money to anyone in your address book with just a few keystrokes.

We’re really pleased that with our announcement of the BlackBerry Storm app last week and the iPhone this week, we now have a mobile app for the hottest smartphones out there!

Of course, nothing ever goes completely as planned. We might as well ‘fess-up to a minor mess-up so that you hear it from us.

As we sat down to shoot a demo video of the app this week, we found a typo in one screen. It’s not a big thing, but it’s kind of embarrassing.

We’ve fixed it, and the fix will go into the next release along with some other neat things we’ve got up our sleeves.

On the positive side, the (normally bullet-proof) QA team is buying me a burrito lunch this week. One typo in close to fifty apps is an enviable track record but this is a great reminder not to let our recent achievements go too much to our heads.

We’re working on some of the coolest stuff in mobile telephony and there’s a lot more to do!
