What a Week!

After a lot of work by the Zoompass team, we launched on Monday, June 15, 2009.  The press coverage was fantastic; they may have gotten a few details confused, but wow – we had glowing reviews and phenomenal interest and uptake.

We’ve also seen a ton of great commentary in the Blogosphere and on Twitter. In some ways, this interaction is actually more rewarding because of the opportunity to personally share ideas and for people to offer real opinions and feedback.

Nadir Mohamed, President and CEO, Rogers Communications was pretty clear when he spoke at the Canadian Telecom Summit on Monday. He said that Zoompass is the beginning of something that’s going to revolutionize the telecom industry.

In a way, I kind of think that really says it all:

It’s the beginning, not the final product. We’ve got a lot more up our sleeves!
It’s “something”, we’re not sure what it’s going to morph into.  Technology is moving really fast!
And it’s going to revolutionize how we think of our mobile telephones. Sooner than we might think.

We’ve done a lot, but this is only just the first release. We have TONS of ideas about how to augment and improve the current product – but we need your help!
