ZoomMe10!

Zoompass Logo

If someone Zoomed you $10, what would you do with it?

We’ll be asking this question a lot over the next few weeks; at least once every weekday, in fact, on Twitter (@zoompass), on FriendFeed (@zoompass) on Facebook. Look for the hashtag #ZoomMe10!

Why?

Because Zoompass is all about making your life that little bit easier. Because we want to hear your ideas on how you might use Zoompass. Oh, and because it’s fun.

  • What would you do if we Zoomed you $10?Would you use your Zoompass Prepaid MasterCard to buy lunch for the homeless guy you see every day?
  • Would you finally repay that friend who won’t stop bugging you about that lunch he spotted you?
  • Would you buy your partner chocolates, just because you thought of them?
  • Would you donate it to a worthy cause?

Tell us, because every day we’ll pick our favourite idea and Zoom that contest winner $10. All we ask in return is that you upload a photo, post a tweet, record a video, write a post or find another way to show us how you’ve used that money.

If you need some ideas on how you could use Zoompass, check out getzoompass.com – Steve and Chuck have plenty of suggestions to give you over there.

So get thinking – if someone Zoomed you $10, how would you make your little corner of the world a little brighter?

    What a great idea!

There’s only one thing I’d do with it, and that’s donate it to this month’s 12for12k-supported charity, UNICEF’s Believe in Zero campaign. Aiming to reduce the number of unnecessary child deaths from 25,000 daily to zero, it’s a no-brainer.

Plus, since 12for12k is my “baby”, it’d be crazy of me not to… ;-)

    Cheers!

  2. Alba Guevara says:

I would donate it to my son’s baseball team fundraiser. GO Astros-Mustang SPOYA League, Houston, TX. We are currently fundraising for equipment, score boards, etc.

  3. Ryan Clayton says:

I would march to the conveience store and demand 1000 penny candies…from there I would cure world hunger one penny candy at a time…or I would buy 4 dozen eggs and drive by the Jo Bro’s house…Or i would bribe a girl from class (Ing…) ten dollars to give me a smooch…Or iw ould give it to a homesless person…OR I would go to quiznos and get those $4 torpedos…two of them…AND KEEP MY TOONIE FOR TIM HORTONS COFFEE BABYYYYY

  4. Justin Herten-Greaven says:

With $10 from Zoompass, I would walk around the downtown core and give a $2 to 5 homeless people… I pass them everyday and never have extra coin to give to them… Help me make their day a little less miserable….

  5. fred frith says:

    Give it to Harper.

He needs it more than I do with the ever increasing debt he is making.

  6. JT says:

If I had $10 zoomed to me, I’d go buy a big bag of candy and give it to everyone at my work….. mmmmmmmmm candy!!!!!!

  7. Brett says:

I’d buy 1/100,000th of a blue dress (but not a real blue dress, on account of the cruelty factor)

  8. Brett says:

Argh, joke fail. It was a green dress wasn’t it? Everyone knows that blue dresses are cruelty-free

  9. Dave Fleet says:

It’s ok, Brett – minor joke fail, but math success :)

  10. Julie says:

With ten Zoomie dollars, I would go to the grocery store and buy a litre of yogurt, some strawberries and bananas. i’d run to the dollar store and buy some craft popsicle sticks. I’d go home and blend the yogurt and fruit all up in my blender and pour it into a popsicle tray. I’d write little messages on the popsicle sticks; like ‘hey, you’re beautiful!’,'kindness is contagious’, and ‘your smile makes the world a better place’. I’d stick the popsicle sticks in the tray, freeze ‘em up, then go out on the street and hand them out to whoever looks to be in need of a cool and tasty treat.

  11. Dave Fleet says:

Congratulations, Julie – you’re today’s contest winner! We’ll be in touch.

  12. Ok – Julie’s idea ROCKS!!!
check out her art too – the link is http://www.juliehimel.com

  13. Phil says:

The question is, will Julie do it? We want pictures!

  14. Jennifer says:

In one sentence: Zoompass is … possibly the key and best venue to help fundraise for @speed_skater, Alexandra Ianculescu, who is in Calgary Alberta attending The National Sport School and training at The Oval to be Canada’s future Gold Medalist Speed Skater, but she needs funds and she needs to concentrate on speed skating, not on 3 part-time minimum wage jobs to cover her expenses, so if I win this contest I will donate it immediately to her and broadcast this contest on Twitter and everywhere else it could make an impact so others would do the same it they win subsequent contests, and I will pursue establishing ZoomPass as a means to help Alexandra’s fundraising campaign which would benefit ZoomPass by increasing its member users which would be a pretty fair trade for a $10 giveaway.

  16. $25 from Zoompass would make a great contribution 2day 4 @speed_skater, Alexandra Ianculescu. She is on her way to becoming Canada’s future Gold Medalist Speed Skater. When I win this contest I will donate it to her because she needs $3500 in 24 days for training costs @”The Oval” !
